Steve Ford is committed to ensuring that our website and digital content are accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We believe every investor and visitor — regardless of ability — deserves a fully functional, navigable, and informative digital experience.

1. Our Commitment to Accessibility

Steve Ford is committed to providing a website and digital experience that is accessible to the widest possible audience, including individuals with visual, auditory, cognitive, motor, or other disabilities. We view digital accessibility not as a compliance checkbox but as a fundamental expression of the respect and professionalism we bring to every investor relationship.

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. Conforming to these guidelines also makes web content more usable for all users.

We are committed to an ongoing programme of accessibility improvement. This Statement describes our current level of conformance, known limitations, and the steps we are taking to improve.

2. Applicable Standard and Scope

2.1 Accessibility Standard

Our target standard is WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This standard is built on four core principles, which we apply to all content and functionality on our Website:

WCAG PRINCIPLE WHAT IT MEANS FOR STEVE FORD’S WEBSITE
Perceivable All information and content on our Website must be presentable in ways that users can perceive. This includes providing text alternatives for non-text content, captions for video, and content that can be presented without loss of information in different sizes or colour schemes.
Operable All functionality on our Website must be operable by all users. This means every function accessible with a mouse is also accessible via keyboard, navigation is consistent and predictable, and users have adequate time to read and use content.
Understandable Our Website content and operation must be understandable. We write in clear, plain language, provide error identification and instructions for forms, and ensure that our pages behave consistently and predictably.
Robust Our Website content must be robust enough to be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies such as screen readers. We use valid, semantic HTML and follow established coding standards.

2.2 Scope of This Statement

This Accessibility Statement covers the following digital properties operated by Steve Ford:

  • steveford.com — primary corporate website including all pages, forms, and downloadable documents
  • Any investor portal or client login area operated by Steve Ford
  • Steve Ford email newsletters and digital communications where technically feasible

This Statement does not cover third-party websites, platforms, or applications that may be linked from our Website. We encourage those operators to maintain their own accessibility standards.

3. Conformance Status

Steve Ford is working toward full conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Our current conformance status is as follows:

CURRENT ACCESSIBILITY CONFORMANCE STATUS
STATUS Partially Conformant
DEFINITION Some parts of the content do not fully conform to the WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standard.
TARGET Full conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA for all public-facing web content.
ASSESSMENT METHOD Self-assessment and third-party accessibility audit.
NOTE Where full conformance has not yet been achieved, we are actively working to identify and address gaps. See Section 5 for known limitations.

4. Accessibility Features Currently Implemented

The following accessibility features are currently in place on the Steve Ford website:

4.1 Visual Design and Colour

  • Colour contrast ratios of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, in compliance with WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.4.3
  • Colour is not used as the sole means of conveying information — text labels and icons supplement colour coding throughout the site
  • Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality using standard browser zoom controls
  • The website does not use content that flashes more than three times per second, reducing risk for users with photosensitive conditions

4.2 Navigation and Structure

  • All pages include a descriptive HTML <title> element that accurately identifies the page content
  • Heading hierarchy (H1 through H6) is used consistently across all pages to structure content logically
  • Skip navigation links are provided to allow keyboard users to bypass repeated navigation and jump directly to main content
  • All pages include a logical, consistent navigation structure that allows users to understand where they are within the website
  • Keyboard navigation is supported for all interactive elements — menus, forms, buttons, and links — with a visible focus indicator
  • A sitemap is available to help users understand and navigate the full structure of the website

4.3 Text and Content

  • All images that convey information include descriptive alt text attributes
  • Purely decorative images are marked with empty alt attributes (alt="") so screen readers skip them
  • All hyperlinks include descriptive link text that makes sense out of context — we avoid generic labels such as “click here” or “read more”
  • The primary language of each page is identified in the HTML lang attribute
  • Where content changes language within a page, the language change is indicated in the HTML
  • Content is written in plain, clear English appropriate for our audience of domestic and international investors

4.4 Forms and Interaction

  • All form fields are associated with visible, descriptive labels
  • Required fields are clearly identified using both visual indicators and programmatic attributes
  • Error messages identify which field is in error and describe what the user needs to do to correct it
  • Users are given adequate time to complete forms — no automatic session timeouts without warning
  • Our consultation scheduling and investor inquiry forms are tested with keyboard-only navigation and screen reader software

4.5 Multimedia

  • Video content hosted on our Website includes or will include closed captions for users who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Audio descriptions are provided or planned for video content where visual information is not conveyed in the audio track
  • No content on our Website auto-plays audio without user initiation
  • Embedded YouTube videos inherit YouTube’s accessibility features including closed captioning and keyboard controls

4.6 Mobile and Responsive Design

  • Our Website is fully responsive and functional across all major device types: desktop, tablet, and mobile
  • Content reflows for small screens without horizontal scrolling (WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.4.10)
  • Touch targets are sized appropriately for users with motor disabilities — minimum 44x44 CSS pixels
  • Orientation is not locked — our content is accessible in both portrait and landscape orientations

5. Known Accessibility Limitations

Despite our commitment to accessibility, we are aware of the following areas where our Website does not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are actively working to address each of these:

KNOWN LIMITATION REMEDIATION PLAN AND TARGET DATE
Some older PDF documents (investor guides, market reports) may not be fully tagged for screen reader accessibility. We are reviewing and retagging all PDF documents published within the last 24 months.
Some video content currently lacks audio description tracks for users who are blind or have low vision. We are in the process of adding audio descriptions to all video content where visual information is not described in the main audio track.
The interactive portfolio composition ledger on the homepage may not be fully navigable by keyboard alone. We are working with our web developer to ensure all interactive chart elements are keyboard-accessible and include appropriate ARIA labels.
Some third-party widgets (calendar booking, live chat) may not meet our full accessibility standard. We have raised accessibility requirements with our third-party widget providers and are evaluating alternatives where conformance cannot be achieved. Ongoing.

6. Assistive Technologies Supported

We test our Website’s accessibility using the following assistive technologies and browser combinations. Our goal is to ensure compatibility with the most commonly used screen readers and accessibility tools:

ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY BROWSER / PLATFORM COMBINATION
NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) screen reader Google Chrome on Windows 10/11
JAWS screen reader Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on Windows 10/11
Apple VoiceOver Safari on macOS Ventura and above; Safari on iOS 16 and above
TalkBack (Android screen reader) Google Chrome on Android 12 and above
ZoomText and Magnification Google Chrome on Windows (keyboard navigation and high-contrast mode)
Browser Zoom All major browsers at 200% zoom level

If you experience difficulties accessing our Website using an assistive technology not listed above, please contact us so we can assist you directly and consider improvements.

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of the Steve Ford website. If you experience any barriers to access, if something is not working as expected with your assistive technology, or if you need content provided in an alternative format, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

10. Technical Specification

The Steve Ford website relies on the following technologies for conformance with WCAG 2.1:

  • HTML5 — semantic markup for document structure and content
  • CSS3 — visual presentation and responsive layout
  • JavaScript — interactive functionality, with fallback behaviour where JavaScript is unavailable
  • ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) — attributes to enhance screen reader compatibility for dynamic and interactive content

These technologies are used in accordance with best practices to ensure maximum compatibility with assistive technologies and user agents.
